We're five very different people trying to keep history from falling apart. You'd think that would make us serious all the time. You'd be very, very wrong.
Let me introduce you to my very unusual family.
There's Michael.
Our fearless captain, strategic thinker, and unofficial champion of keeping everyone focused.
There's Krystina.
Observant, capable, and generally the first person to notice when something isn't quite right.
There's Christopher.
Brilliant engineer, inventor, and the reason I occasionally inspect the ship more carefully than usual.
There's Shecky.
Our resident expert on things that make absolutely no sense until he explains them.
And then there's me.
Pilot, musician, occasional troublemaker, and the person who has to make sure we all arrive in the correct century.
Together, we're the Time Wardens.
Sounds impressive, doesn't it?
And sometimes it is.
Sometimes we're standing together in the middle of something extraordinary, facing a situation that could change history.
Everyone knows what they need to do.
Everyone trusts the person beside them.
And for a moment, everything just works.
Then there are the other moments.
The arguments over where to go next.
The conversations that start with a perfectly reasonable question and somehow become a debate about the nature of reality.
The evenings when someone tells a story that nobody else believes.
The meals where we're all so tired that absolutely everything becomes funny.
Those are my favourite moments.
Not because they're dramatic.
Because they're ours.
We've all come from different experiences.
We see the world differently.
We don't always agree.
But somewhere along the way, this strange collection of personalities became something more than a team.
We became people who look out for each other.
People who know when someone needs help.
People who understand that sometimes the most important thing you can do is simply be there.
I don't know where our next journey will take us.
I don't know what century we'll wake up in tomorrow.
And I definitely don't know what Christopher is currently working on in the engineering compartment.
But I know one thing.
Whatever happens, I wouldn't want to face it with anyone else.
Even if Michael insists on another briefing before breakfast.
Seriously, Michael.
Coffee first.
Love, ♡
